Role Description This full-time, on-site Formwork Engineer / Senior Engineer role is based in New Delhi and focuses on planning, designing, and supervising formwork systems for concrete structures on major infrastructure and industrial projects. The position involves preparing formwork layouts and detailed drawings, performing load calculations, and selecting appropriate materials and systems in alignment with project specifications and safety standards.

The engineer will coordinate with structural design, site, and construction teams to ensure efficient sequencing,



safe installation, and timely removal of formwork, while addressing technical issues that arise during execution. Daily responsibilities include monitoring on-site formwork activities, conducting inspections, optimizing resource usage, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements. The role may also involve mentoring junior engineers, support contractor teams, and contributing to continuous improvement in formwork methodologies and project delivery.

Qualifications

- Practical expertise in formwork systems including design, planning, and supervision for complex concrete structures.
- Proven experience in formwork design, planning, and execution
- Strong knowledge of formwork systems and construction methodologies specific to high-rise structures.
- Ability to coordinate with site teams, contractors, and consultants.
- Hands-on experience with carpentry for formwork construction, including reading drawings and translating design details into accurate site execution.
- Proficiency in using power tools safely and efficiently in construction and formwork-related activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; a master’s degree and/or relevant certifications (e.g., formwork or construction safety) are an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of concrete technology, structural behavior, and applicable building codes and standards.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, prepare technical documentation, and use CAD or construction design software.
