Fire Assay Executive / Assayer –

Location: Lower Parel

Experience: 2–5 years in Gold Assay / Fire Assay / Precious Metal Refining

Industry: Gold & Jewellery Manufacturing

Responsible for conducting fire assay and cupellation of gold and precious metal samples to determine purity and fineness. Handle sample preparation, weighing, melting, cupellation, parting and final analysis. Conduct sampling of gold bars, jewellery, scrap and production materials, and accurately record assay results.

Maintain and calibrate assay equipment such as furnaces, balances, crucibles and cupels. Identify discrepancies and perform re-testing when required. Ensure proper handling and control of precious-metal samples, follow SOPs, quality standards and laboratory safety procedures, and maintain proper documentation and housekeeping.

Requirements:



Positive knowledge of fire assay/cupellation, gold purity testing and precious-metal refining. Strong numerical and analytical skills with good attention to detail. Knowledge of laboratory safety and chemical handling is required. Basic computer/MIS knowledge preferred. Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy, Science or a related field preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
