Role Description The Finishing Engineer role at GD Planet is a full time, on-site position based in Mumbai.

The Finishing

Engineer is responsible for overseeing and executing all finishing activities, including interior works, painting, waterproofing, and fabrication-related finishes to ensure high-quality standards are met. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with project managers and site teams, inspecting work for quality and safety compliance, monitoring progress against timelines, and resolving on-site technical issues related to finishing works.



The role also involves preparing basic reports on work status, supporting costing and budgeting for finishing activities, and ensuring client requirements are translated into precise on-site execution.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of finishing works in construction, including interiors, painting, waterproofing, and fabrication-related finishes.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and quality standards relevant to finishing activities.
- Experience in site supervision, coordination with contractors and vendors, and monitoring daily finishing work progress.
- Understanding of basic costing, budgeting, and resource planning for finishing works.
- Awareness of safety practices and compliance requirements on construction sites.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional project teams and clients.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in finishing engineering roles.
- Prior experience in residential or commercial construction projects in an on-site capacity is an advantage.
