This is an opportunity to join a growing food and FMCG organisation and play an important role in strengthening financial reporting, controls, processes and management information systems.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on and technically strong Financial Controller to manage the Finance and Accounts function. The role will be responsible for accounting, financial reporting, monthly and quarterly closing, MIS, taxation, treasury, audit, compliance and internal controls.

The Financial Controller will work closely with management and the Finance & Accounts team to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely closure of accounts, strong controls and effective management reporting.

Financial Planning & Management Reporting

- Lead the annual business planning, budgeting and forecasting process.
- Track actual performance against budgets and provide actionable insights to the leadership team.
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and management MIS, including analysis of key variances against budget and prior periods. Ensure that monthly and quarterly MIS is fully reconciled with the books of accounts and underlying schedules.

Finance & Controllership

- Manage and supervise the Finance & Accounts team ensuring appropriate review and accountability for work performed by the team.




- Ensure accurate, timely and compliant accounting and financial reporting.
- Own the monthly and quarterly closing of accounts in SAP and ensure that the P&L;, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow are accurate and supported by appropriate schedules and reconciliations.
- Own the Balance Sheet and review all material Balance Sheet accounts, including receivables, payables, inventory, advances, deposits, fixed assets, statutory dues, provisions, accruals and inter-company balances.
- Ensure timely preparation and review of bank reconciliations, customer and vendor reconciliations, statutory reconciliations and other key ledger schedules.
- Review the General Ledger and Trial Balance regularly and investigate unusual, aged, unreconciled or incorrectly classified balances.
- Review and strengthen accounting processes, policies and internal controls.
- Ensure financial reporting is compliant with applicable IND AS accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Treasury & Working Capital

- Prepare and monitor fortnightly/monthly fund-flow and cash-flow plans.
- Manage cash requirements and timely remittances against purchases and business obligations.
- Establish strong controls over Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Monitor collections, vendor payments and working capital.
- Identify opportunities to improve cash conversion and liquidity.

Audit, Tax & Regulatory Compliance

- Lead and coordinate Internal Audit, Statutory Audit, Tax Audit and Transfer Pricing Audit activities.
- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors, ensure timely preparation of audit schedules and supporting information, and resolve audit queries with the Finance & Accounts team.
- Track internal and statutory audit observations and ensure agreed corrective actions are implemented and closed on time.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with external tax consultants and advisors.
- Ensure timely filing of ITRs and other statutory returns.

Cost Management & Profitability

- Analyse business performance and identify areas of financial leakage.
- Work with functional teams to drive cost discipline and operational efficiency.

Leadership & Team Development

- Manage,



mentor and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
- Establish clear ownership, accountability and performance standards within the function.
- Review work prepared by team members and maintain appropriate maker-checker controls across key accounting processes.
- Work collaboratively with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

- Chartered Accountant (CA) with approximately 5 7 years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience managing or supervising a Finance & Accounts team.
- Strong experience in managing Finance & Accounts for multiple entities.
- Strong hands-on experience in accounting, Balance Sheet review, monthly closing, MIS, audit, taxation and compliance.
- Strong ability to understand and review Trial Balances, General Ledgers, account reconciliations and financial statements.
- Experience handling statutory and internal audits and responding to auditor queries.
- Strong commercial understanding with the ability to connect financial performance with business outcomes.
- Experience working closely with senior management/business leadership.
- Experience in building or strengthening finance processes in a growing organisation will be highly valued.

Desired Skills & Competencies

- Strong hands-on proficiency in SAP, including ledger review, Trial Balance extraction and financial reporting.
- Advanced MS Excel and financial analysis skills.
- Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS and Income Tax.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, P&L; and cash-flow management capabilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to effectively manage and supervise a Finance & Accounts team.
