Job Purpose The Senior Manager - Statutory Compliance will be responsible for overseeing statutory, tax and corporate compliance for a large portfolio of legal entities in India The role will work closely with the Manila Shared Service Centre, Group and local Finance teams, external auditors, and external tax and Company Secretarial providers to ensure compliance requirements are managed accurately, efficiently and on time.

The role requires a hands-on and technically strong professional who can manage the details of individual compliance issues while maintaining a holistic view of the India legal-entity landscape. The individual will also drive process improvements, standardisation and stronger controls across the compliance operating model.

Key Responsibilities

Statutory Audit & Corporate Compliance:

- Oversee statutory audits and Company Secretarial/MCA compliance for multiple Indian legal entities.
- Coordinate audit timelines, information requirements, filings and resolution of audit observations with statutory auditors, external providers, India Finance, Manila SSC and Group.

Tax Compliance





- Oversee India direct and indirect tax compliance, including corporate income tax, tax audit, TDS/TCS, GST and other applicable tax requirements.
- Oversee filings, payments, reconciliations, assessments, notices, refunds and other tax matters, working closely with Group Tax and external advisors.

GST Registrations & Governance:

- Own the governance of GST registrations across entities and states, including new registrations, amendments, additional places of business, cancellations and other changes.
- Maintain an accurate legal-entity and GST master and ensure changes in business or entity structure are appropriately reflected.

External Provider & SSC Management:

- Manage relationships and delivery from external tax, accounting and Company Secretarial providers.
- Work closely with the Manila SSC to ensure clear ownership, quality and timely delivery of compliance activities.
- Establish appropriate SLAs, controls and escalation mechanisms, and challenge issues or deliverables where required.

Group & Stakeholder Management:

- Act as the key India contact for Group Finance, Group Tax, Group Accounting and other global stakeholders on statutory compliance matters.
- Provide clear reporting on compliance status, risks and significant issues, and translate India-specific regulatory requirements into practical actions for stakeholders.

Process Improvement

- Review and streamline the India statutory compliance operating model across India, Manila, Group and external providers.
- Identify opportunities to standardise, automate and simplify processes, strengthen controls and eliminate recurring issues. Lead improvements in compliance calendars, reporting, data management, RACI and SOPs.

Technical & Risk Management:

- Maintain strong technical knowledge of Indian statutory,



tax and corporate requirements.
- Be hands-on in investigating and resolving complex issues, identifying root causes and challenging technical advice where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance risks are identified, escalated and addressed in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications, Experience, Behaviours

- CA qualified preferred, with 8-12 years of relevant experience in statutory compliance, tax, audit or corporate governance.
- Strong experience in statutory audit, tax compliance, GST and Company Secretarial/MCA compliance.
- Hands-on experience managing multiple GST registrations and high-volume entity compliance.
- Experience working with Shared Service Centres, Group functions and external professional service providers.
- Proven track record in streamlining processes, improving controls and driving standardisation/automation.
- Strong technical capability combined with the ability to take a holistic, end-to-end view of compliance and business issues.
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and challenge constructively.
