Job Title: Finance & Investment Manager Solar Projects
Location: Malleshwaram Bengaluru
Experience Required:
5–10 years (preferably in renewable energy / infrastructure / solar industry)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic professional who can bridge investment analysis and project finance controlling for solar projects. The role involves evaluating investment opportunities, managing project financials, and overseeing day-to-day accounting, budgeting, and financial planning to ensure profitability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment & Financial Analysis:
- Evaluate solar project investment opportunities (CAPEX, IRR, NPV, payback analysis)
- Build and maintain detailed financial models for solar projects
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk analysis for recent and ongoing projects
- Support fundraising activities, investor presentations, and financial due diligence
- Work closely with management on strategic investment decisions
Project Controlling:
- Monitor project costs vs budget and ensure financial discipline
- Track project cash flow, milestones, and financial performance
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure cost optimization
- Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Prepare project-wise profitability and variance analysis reports
Financial Planning & Budgeting:
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Develop short-term and long-term financial plans
- Monitor actuals vs budget and provide variance insights
- Support business expansion planning with financial projections
Accounting & Day-to-Day Finance:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities (AP, AR, GL)
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Manage invoicing, vendor payments, and reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, audits, and taxation
- Coordinate with auditors and external consultants
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Experience in project finance and infrastructure/solar sector
- Good understanding of solar project lifecycle and cost structures
- Proficiency in Excel and financial tools (ERP systems preferred)
- Knowledge of accounting standards and taxation
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent
- Experience in solar / renewable energy / EPC companies
- Exposure to project financing, lenders, and investors
