About Us

SACC (Startup Accelerator Chamber of Commerce) is a non-profit founded in 2014, working to build a holistic startup ecosystem across Bharat. SACC runs incubation programs, accelerator cohorts, angel investment facilitation, and startup education initiatives in partnership with academia, government, and corporates - with a strong focus on grassroots entrepreneurship, women, and rural youth. Over 1,000 startups and enterprises have been mentored directly through SACC's network, spanning sectors from deep tech and healthtech to sustainability, and assistive technology.

Networx is our coworking and community space that houses SACC's incubated startups, member entrepreneurs, and partner organisations - providing the physical and operational backbone for the ecosystem SACC builds.

Together, SACC and Networx sit at the intersection of a non-profit chamber of commerce, an operating coworking business, and an active incubator/accelerator - which makes this finance role broader and more entrepreneurial than a typical corporate finance seat.

Role Summary

We are looking for a Finance Head to own the finance and accounts function across SACC and Networx, while also acting as a hands-on finance mentor to the startups incubated by us. This is a rare chance to build financial systems for a growing non-profit and coworking business, and simultaneously shape the financial literacy and fundraising-readiness of an entire cohort of early-stage founders. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable closing a monthly P&L;, preparing a board pack, structuring a grant or CSR fund, and explaining a cap table to a first-time founder.

Key Responsibilities

- Finance & Accounts - SACC
- Own end-to-end accounting, book-keeping, and monthly/quarterly closing for SACC, ensuring accuracy and audit-readiness.
- Manage compliance specific to a non-profit/Section 8 or trust structure - 12A/80G, annual returns, and statutory filings with ROC/Income Tax/GST.
- Track and report utilisation of grants, CSR funding, and government scheme funds against approved budgets and donor/partner requirements.
- Prepare MIS reports,

cash-flow statements, and financial dashboards for the CEO and Governing Board.
- Coordinate statutory and internal audits; liaise with auditors, CA firms, and legal counsel.
- Support proposal budgeting for new government, corporate, and academic partnerships (e.g., incubator setups, accelerator programs).
- Finance & Accounts - Networx (Coworking)
- Manage Networx's revenue accounting - membership plans, seat/desk billing, meeting room bookings, and ancillary income.
- Oversee accounts receivable and collections, minimising churn-related revenue leakage from members and resident startups.
- Track occupancy-linked financials, space utilisation costs, and unit economics per seat/desk to support pricing decisions.
- Manage vendor payments, facility operating costs, and lease/CAM cost tracking for the coworking space.
- Build monthly P&L; and cash-flow visibility for the Networx business line, distinct from SACC's books.
- Finance Enablement for Incubated Startups
- Act as a finance mentor/advisor to founders in SACC's incubation and acceleration cohorts - reviewing their financial models, burn rate, and unit economics.
- Fundraising readiness: help startups prepare pitch-deck financials, cap tables, and data rooms ahead of interactions with SACC's angel investor network and external investors.
- Guide founders on basic statutory and compliance hygiene - incorporation structures, GST, TDS, startup India recognition, and ESOP basics - coordinating with external CAs/CS where needed.
- Design and deliver periodic finance workshops/office hours for the incubated startup cohort (budgeting, pricing, fundraising math, grant/CSR proposal writing).
- Help evaluate startups at intake and progress stages using basic financial and viability criteria, feeding into SACC's investment/selection committee.
- Track portfolio-level outcomes (funding raised, revenue growth, jobs created) for SACC's impact reporting to government and CSR partners.
- Governance, Systems & Team

- Set up and continuously improve accounting systems, SOPs, and internal financial controls across both entities.
- Own annual budgeting and rolling forecasts for SACC and Networx, tracking variance monthly.
- Manage banking relationships, treasury, and working capital for both entities.
- Build and mentor a small finance/accounts team as the organisation scales; manage relationships with outsourced CA/CS/legal partners.
- Present financial performance and key metrics at Board and stakeholder meetings.

Who You Are

- Qualification: CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent; candidates with strong hands-on experience and a bachelor's in Commerce/Finance will also be considered.
- Experience: 6-10+ years in finance/accounts, ideally spanning at least two of: non-profit/NGO finance, startup or SME finance, coworking/real-estate/hospitality finance, or startup mentoring/incubation.
- Domain exposure: prior exposure to grant/CSR fund accounting, statutory compliance for non-profits, or early-stage startup finance (fundraising, cap tables, financial modelling) is a strong plus.
- Tools: proficiency in Tally/Zoho Books or similar accounting software, Excel/Google Sheets, and comfort building simple financial models and dashboards.
- Mindset: entrepreneurial, hands-on, and comfortable operating with the resource constraints of a growing non-profit - someone who wants to build systems, not just maintain them.
- People skills: ability to explain financial concepts simply to first-time founders, and to communicate confidently with a Board, government partners, and corporate CSR teams.

What We Offer

- A leadership seat at the intersection of a non-profit chamber of commerce, a coworking business, and a live startup ecosystem.
- Direct exposure to a vast startup ecosystem, venture capital, government innovation programs, and corporate CSR partners.
- Ownership of the finance function from the ground up, with a clear path to grow the team as SACC and Networx scale.
- Competitive compensation, aligned with the non-profit/startup ecosystem and candidate experience.
