Job Role

- Field Sales Executive

- Acquire new merchants and local businesses for Paytm payment solutions across designated areas of Ahmedabad.

- Promote and onboard merchants for Paytm QR Codes, Soundbox, POS/EDC Machines, and Payment Gateway solutions.

- Visit existing merchants to provide product servicing and resolve technical issues.

- Maintain strong relationships with retail store owners, merchants, and local business owners.

- Support merchants with hardware-related issues and coordinate replacements when required.

- Increase merchant transaction activity and identify opportunities for cross-selling additional Paytm services.

- Achieve daily and monthly targets related to merchant acquisition, installations, service visits, and payment processing.

- Maintain accurate records of field activities, merchant feedback, leads, and service updates through internal reporting tools and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

Merchant Acquisition

- Visit retail stores, merchants, and local businesses in assigned Ahmedabad market areas.

- Identify potential merchants and explain Paytm's payment solutions.

- Onboard new merchants for Paytm QR Code solutions.

- Install and activate Paytm Soundbox devices.

- Promote and onboard merchants for POS/EDC machines.

- Promote Payment Gateway solutions where applicable.

- Complete the merchant acquisition and onboarding process as per company requirements.

Product Servicing & Support

- Visit existing Paytm merchants for service-related requirements.

- Identify and resolve basic technical issues with Paytm devices.

- Provide support for Soundbox-related issues.

- Coordinate Soundbox battery and SIM replacements when required.

- Handle damaged or faulty Paytm hardware replacement requirements.

- Ensure merchants receive timely service and support.

- Maintain customer satisfaction through effective issue resolution.

Relationship Management

- Build and maintain strong relationships with local business owners.





- Regularly communicate with existing merchants and understand their requirements.

- Support merchants in improving their payment transaction activity.

- Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional Paytm merchant services.

- Promote business loan solutions to eligible merchants.

- Introduce Soundbox upgrades and other relevant merchant services.

Target Achievement

- Achieve daily merchant acquisition targets.

- Meet monthly merchant onboarding and installation targets.

- Complete assigned service visits within the required timelines.

- Contribute to active payment processing and transaction-related targets.

- Maintain consistent field performance and achieve assigned business objectives.

Field Sales & Business Development

- Conduct regular field visits across assigned Ahmedabad zones.

- Identify new market opportunities and potential merchant segments.

- Generate leads through direct market visits and merchant interactions.

- Convert potential merchants into active Paytm users.

- Build a solid merchant pipeline for continuous business growth.

Field Reporting

- Record daily field activities through internal reporting tools or mobile applications.

- Update merchant acquisition and service visit information accurately.

- Report merchant feedback and service-related issues.

- Maintain lead pipeline updates.

- Share relevant market information and customer feedback with the reporting team.
