Role Description The Field Credit Officer is a full-time, on-site position based in Kanpur, responsible for assessing and managing credit for individual and small business customers. Daily tasks include conducting field visits, verifying customer information, analyzing financial data, and evaluating creditworthiness in line with bank policies. The role involves preparing credit proposals, recommending appropriate loan products, and ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.

Officer collaborates with branch and sales teams to support loan disbursement, monitor portfolio quality, and follow up on repayments to minimize credit risk. This position also requires maintaining strong, skilled communication with customers, promoting responsible borrowing, and adhering to regulatory and internal compliance guidelines.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Credit Management and Credit assessment skills, with the ability to interpret policies and apply them to individual cases.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge to evaluate financial statements, cash flows, and repayment capacity.
- Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills to interact with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders during field visits and in-branch discussions.
- Relevant experience in retail or microfinance lending, field-based collections, or credit underwriting is beneficial.
- Educational background in Commerce, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred; proficiency in local language and basic computer skills is an advantage.
- Ability to work in the field, manage time effectively, and maintain high ethical standards and integrity in all customer interactions.
