Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Faculty role in Fashion Design based in the Mohali district. The faculty member will plan and deliver engaging lectures, studio classes, and practical workshops in fashion design, including fundamentals of design, pattern making, garment construction, and fashion illustration. The role involves creating and updating curriculum materials, guiding student projects and portfolios, conducting assessments, and providing constructive feedback.

The faculty will mentor students on industry trends, qualified practices, and career pathways, while participating in academic meetings, events, and exhibitions.



Collaboration with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and contribute to the overall academic growth of the institute is expected.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of core fashion design disciplines such as fashion illustration, pattern making, draping, and garment construction.
- Ability to develop curricula and teaching materials that integrate design fundamentals, concept development, and industry practices.
- Experience guiding student projects, portfolios, and collections, with a focus on creativity, craftsmanship, and market relevance.
- Competence in classroom management, student mentoring, and providing clear, constructive feedback.
- Familiarity with current fashion trends, sustainable design practices, and the broader fashion industry ecosystem.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible way.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Previous teaching or training experience in fashion or design education is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in relevant design tools and software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CAD for fashion) is an advantage.
