: Freelance Faculty for Financial Accounting and Reporting – BBA and PGDM Program

Position: Freelance Faculty (Part-Time / Hourly Basis)

Location: Mira Road, Thane

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic freelance faculty member to teach Financial Accounting & Reporting under the BBA and PGDM Finance programs .

The role involves delivering engaging lectures, developing students' understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, and connecting accounting concepts with practical business and financial decision-making.

Subjects to be Taught

· Financial Accounting and Reporting The subject covers:

Ø Accounting Fundamentals and Accounting Cycle

Ø Double-Entry Bookkeeping, Journal, Ledger and Trial Balance

Ø Preparation of Trading Account, Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet

Ø Financial Statements and Financial Reporting

Ø Company Accounts and Schedule III of Companies Act 2013

Ø Depreciation, Fixed Assets and Inventory Valuation

Ø Ind AS, Indian GAAP and IFRS fundamentals

Ø Revenue Recognition and Financial Reporting Disclosures

Ø Accounting Ethics and Introduction to Forensic Accounting

Key Responsibilities

· Deliver lectures and tutorials as per the prescribed syllabus.

· Develop teaching material, assignments, assessments, question papers and case studies aligned with course objectives.

· Correct answer sheets whenever required.

· Design and evaluate assignments, case studies, presentations and internal assessments.





· Provide academic support and mentoring to students.

· Ensure completion of syllabus within the semester timeline.

· Collaborate with the program team to improve pedagogy and curriculum delivery.

· Explain accounting concepts through practical examples, financial statements and real-world business cases.

· Guide students in preparing, analysing and interpreting financial statements and accounting information.

Qualifications

· M.Com. in Accounting / Finance, MBA/PGDM in Finance, CA, CMA, or equivalent postgraduate/professional qualification.

· Preferably Ph.D. / NET / SET qualified (not mandatory for freelance roles).

· Strong understanding of Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, Accounting Standards and preparation of financial statements.

· Working knowledge of Ind AS, Indian GAAP, IFRS and Companies Act 2013 / Schedule III will be preferred.

· Professional qualifications such as CA / CMA will be an added advantage.

Experience

· Minimum 2–3 years of teaching or industry experience in Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting or relevant subjects.

· Experience in academic curriculum delivery at the UG/PG level is preferred.

· Industry experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, taxation, or finance will be an advantage.

· Exposure to modern teaching tools (LMS, online labs, virtual classrooms) will be an advantage.
