For this position, the selected candidate will be employed by DTSS and deployed at the Philips facility in Bangalore as part of the Technical Services team.
Role Description:
We are looking for a Facility Executive – Technical Services to manage and monitor day-to-day technical operations at the Philips facility in Bangalore.
The role will be responsible for ensuring reliable and efficient operation and maintenance of the site's MEP and building engineering systems, coordinating preventive and breakdown maintenance, supervising technicians and service partners, and ensuring that technical services are delivered in accordance with agreed service standards and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage day-to-day technical facility operations at the Philips site.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for electrical, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, fire & life safety and other MEP systems.
- Ensure timely completion of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Monitor the operational condition and performance of critical equipment and building systems.
- Coordinate with technicians, supervisors, OEMs and external service vendors for maintenance and breakdown activities.
- Attend and coordinate resolution of technical breakdowns, incidents and service complaints.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential failures or recurring issues.
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment logbooks, checklists, preventive maintenance records, history cards and technical documentation.
- Coordinate planned shutdowns, maintenance activities and other technical interventions.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure work is completed as per agreed scope, SLA, safety and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with the client/Philips team regarding technical issues, maintenance activities, incidents and operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, statutory and technical requirements.
- Monitor manpower deployment, attendance and productivity of the technical team.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly technical and operational reports.
- Support energy conservation, equipment reliability and cost optimization initiatives.
- Ensure proper escalation and communication of critical technical issues to the management team.
- Maintain a safe, reliable and efficient working environment across the facility.
Technical Areas:
The candidate should have working knowledge of one or more of the following:
- HVAC systems – AHU, FCU, VRF/VRV, split/cassette AC and chillers
- Electrical systems – HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS, MDB/SMDB/DB and associated systems
- Pumps, motors and other mechanical equipment
- Fire & Life Safety systems
- Plumbing and water systems
- BMS and basic building automation systems
- ELV systems such as access control, CCTV and related systems
- Preventive and breakdown maintenance
- Technical documentation and equipment history records
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Civil, or related Engineering discipline preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and building services.
- Experience in facility engineering, technical operations, maintenance or building operations.
- Good understanding of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Ability to coordinate technicians, vendors, OEMs and client representatives.
- Good communication, coordination and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and statutory compliance applicable to technical facility operations.
- Ability to analyse technical issues and coordinate timely resolution.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and reporting.
- Ability to work on-site and manage multiple technical activities and priorities.
Experience:
7+ years of experience in technical facility management, MEP operations, building maintenance, engineering services or a similar technical setting is preferred.
Experience working with large commercial facilities, corporate campuses, manufacturing facilities, industrial sites or other technically complex facilities will be an advantage.
