Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and process export documentation including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Bill of Lading/Airway Bill, and Shipping Bill.

- Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA (Customs House Agents), and shipping lines for timely dispatch of consignments.

- Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, and country-specific import regulations for 30+ export destinations.

- Liaise with banks for LC (Letter of Credit) documentation, negotiation, and realization of export proceeds.

- Manage export incentive schemes (RoDTEP, Duty Drawback, EPCG, Advance Authorization) and related filings.

- Track shipment status and proactively resolve documentation discrepancies to avoid delays/demurrage.

- Maintain accurate records of shipping bills, BRC (Bank Realization Certificates), and export ledgers.

- Coordinate with production and quality teams for shipment readiness and pre-shipment inspection requirements.

- Handle country-specific certifications (e.g., Certificate of Origin - GSP/Non-Preferential, Fumigation Certificate, Halal/other regulatory certificates as applicable).





- Support internal and customer audits related to export compliance.

Required Knowledge Areas

- Export-Import (EXIM) Documentation: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Shipping Bill, Certificate of Origin

- Letter of Credit (LC) Operations: LC scrutiny, discrepancy handling, negotiation with banks

- DGFT Policies & Procedures: IEC, licensing, Foreign Trade Policy provisions

- Customs Procedures: Shipping Bill filing, ICEGATE portal, HS Classification

- Export Incentive Schemes: RoDTEP, Duty Drawback, EPCG, Advance Authorization

- INCOTERMS: FOB, CIF, CFR, EXW, and their documentation implications

- Logistics Coordination: Freight forwarding, container/vessel booking, CHA coordination

- Banking & Forex Documentation: BRC, FIRC, export realization tracking

- Country-Specific Compliance: Import regulations for key export markets (US, EU, Middle East, Africa, etc.)

- ERP/Export Software: SAP or similar ERP for export order and documentation management
