Company Description: The Institute of Public Health Bengaluru (IPH Bengaluru) is a public health research and training institute based in Bengaluru, India. Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for experts in quantitative research, statistical, and mathematical modelling. The incumbent will lead the implementation of advanced analytical methods for the project, including multilevel modelling, regression-based analyses, machine learning approaches, fuzzy cognitive modelling, and framework validation. The role will involve integrating primary and secondary datasets, developing reproducible analytical workflows, ensuring data quality, and providing methodological guidance to the project team throughout the study period.

The incumbent will work closely with investigators across all work packages to support study design, statistical analysis plans, interpretation of findings, and translation of evidence into policy-relevant outputs.



The incumbent will contribute to the preparation of technical reports, scientific manuscripts, policy briefs, and dissemination materials while supporting project monitoring, ethics and regulatory compliance, capacity-building activities, and the timely achievement of project milestones.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess

- Demonstrated expertise in advanced statistical and mathematical modelling and quantitative data analysis
- Experience in multilevel (hierarchical) modelling, generalised linear models, structural equation modelling, or related statistical approaches
- Experience in machine learning techniques for classification, prediction and model validation
- Experience in fuzzy cognitive modelling, systems modelling, simulation techniques or complex systems analysis
- Experience in analysing large-scale population datasets such as NFHS, NSSO, LASI or similar surveys
- Proficiency in statistical software such as R, Python, STATA
- Experience in reproducible research workflows using version control and analytical documentation
- Demonstrated publication record in peer-reviewed journals involving advanced quantitative analyses
- Excellent scientific writing, communication and cooperative research skills.
