Role Purpose To develop new business opportunities for formwork and falsework systems, present the company's technical capabilities to clients, prepare preliminary technical proposals, costing and quotations, and follow up enquiries until project award.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketing

- Identify upcoming building and infrastructure projects and develop a practical client pipeline.
- Approach main contractors, developers, consultants, precast contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Arrange and conduct client meetings, site visits and product presentations.
- Understand the client's construction method, programme, formwork requirement and procurement stage.
- Maintain relationships with project, technical and procurement teams.
- Follow up enquiries, proposals and commercial discussions until closure or award.
- Maintain an updated record of clients, projects, quotations, next actions and expected timelines.

2. Estimation and Quotation

- Study structural drawings, architectural drawings, tender documents, BOQs and project specifications.
- Identify suitable formwork and falsework systems based on project requirements.
- Carry out preliminary quantity take-off, material estimation and system-area calculations.
- Obtain supplier, fabrication, freight and logistics prices as required.
- Prepare project costing, including material, fabrication, engineering, freight, import duties, customs clearance, site support, contingency and target margin.
- Prepare clear technical and commercial quotations with scope, assumptions, exclusions, payment terms and delivery period.
- Coordinate with design, procurement and management teams before quotation submission.

Technical Coordination

- Assist in preparing preliminary formwork concepts, layouts and technical proposals.
- Coordinate with designers on drawings, calculations and technical clarifications.
- Attend technical meetings with clients and explain the proposed formwork system.
- Clarify construction sequence, cycle time, lifting, assembly, dismantling and reuse requirements.
- Support initial delivery, trial assembly or site mobilisation where required.

Experience Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in formwork, falsework, scaffolding or temporary works

Technical Knowledge

Positive understanding of common formwork systems and construction methods

Drawing Interpretation

Able to read structural and architectural drawings

Estimation

Able to perform quantity take-off, costing and quotation preparation

Communication

Confident in client meetings and technical presentations

Software

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; AutoCAD is preferred

Language

Good spoken and written English; Hindi or other local languages are an advantage

Mobility

Willing to travel for meetings, site visits and business development

Preferred Knowledge and Experience

- Basic design knowledge of formwork and falsework, including design loads, wet-concrete pressure,



load transfer, support spacing, bracing and stability.
- Ability to interpret slabs, beams, walls, columns, cores, piers, pier caps and bridge structures.
- AutoCAD or technical-drawing capability for preliminary layouts, sections and material arrangements.
- Experience in quantity take-off, steel-weight estimation, system-area calculation, accessories, reuse cycles and project costing.
- Knowledge of protection screens, jumpform, auto-climbing systems, tableform, aluminium wall/column formwork, aluminium slab formwork and tunnel formwork.
- Knowledge of infrastructure formwork such as segmental box-girder moulds, pier and pier-cap formwork, crosshead formwork, precast segment moulds, heavy falsework and form travellers.
- Understanding of formwork assembly, dismantling, lifting, work platforms, access, bracing and site-safety requirements.
- Commercial knowledge of tendering, payment terms, gross margin, variations, import cost, freight and contract exclusions.
- Existing network with contractors, developers, consultants, precast yards or infrastructure contractors in India.
