Position: Accounts Executive

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reporting To: Head of Finance & Accounts

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka

Experience: 5+ years

Qualification: B.Com / equivalent qualification in Finance & Accounts.

Industry Preference: Construction / Infrastructure / EPC / Engineering / Project-based companies.

1. Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to support the Finance & Accounts function of the Company.

The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting, purchase and expense entries, sales billing, GST and TDS-related activities, bank reconciliation, vendor and customer ledger management, payment documentation, and project-wise accounting.

The ideal candidate should have valuable knowledge of Tally/ERP, MS Excel, GST, TDS, and basic accounting principles and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Day-to-Day Accounting

- Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
- Pass journal, purchase, sales, receipt, payment, and expense entries.
- Maintain proper supporting documents for all accounting transactions.
- Ensure correct accounting under appropriate ledger heads and cost centers.
- Maintain project-wise accounting records wherever applicable.
- Assist in monthly closing of accounts.

B. Purchase & Vendor Accounting

- Record purchase invoices and expense bills.
- Verify invoices against Purchase Orders / Work Orders and supporting documents.
- Maintain vendor ledgers and vendor ageing.
- Verify GST details and tax deductions on vendor invoices.
- Prepare vendor payment documentation for approval.
- Track vendor advances and ensure timely adjustment.
- Reconcile vendor balances periodically.

C. Sales Billing & Receivables

- Prepare and process customer invoices as instructed by the Commercial/Project Team.
- Ensure correct GST, TDS, project details,



PO/WO references, and other billing information.
- Maintain customer ledgers.
- Track invoices submitted to customers and payment status.
- Prepare receivables ageing reports.
- Follow up internally for pending billing documents and certifications.
- Assist the Finance Team in collection follow-up.

D. GST & TDS

- Assist in preparation of GST-related data and reconciliations.
- Verify GSTIN, tax rates, taxable values, CGST/SGST/IGST and other invoice details.
- Assist in GSTR reconciliations and input tax credit verification.
- Record and reconcile TDS deductions.
- Prepare TDS-related information and supporting schedules.
- Coordinate with the Finance Manager / CA for GST and TDS compliance.
- Maintain proper records for statutory requirements.

E. Bank & Cash

- Perform regular bank reconciliation.
- Record bank transactions and charges.
- Monitor receipts and payments in bank accounts.
- Maintain petty cash records, where applicable.
- Prepare petty cash statements and supporting documentation.
- Identify and resolve unreconciled bank entries promptly.

F. Project Accounting

- Maintain project-wise records of expenses and revenues.
- Record expenses under appropriate project codes/cost centers.
- Track project expenses
- Assist in preparation of project-wise expense reports.
- Provide supporting information for project profitability analysis.

G. Employee Expenses & Advances

- Process employee expense claims and reimbursements.
- Verify bills and supporting documents.
- Maintain employee advance records.




- Track outstanding advances and ensure timely settlement.
- Maintain proper documentation for travel and project-related expenses.

H. Reconciliation

Perform regular reconciliation of

- Bank accounts
- Customer ledgers
- Vendor ledgers
- GST input credit
- TDS
- Employee advances
- Vendor advances
- Customer advances
- Inter-company / related-party balances, where applicable

I. Documentation & Audit Support

- Maintain proper filing of invoices, receipts, payment documents, contracts, and other financial records.
- Provide documents and schedules required for statutory and internal audits.
- Assist the Finance Head in preparing audit schedules.
- Ensure financial documents are properly organized and readily accessible.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

3. Key Deliverables The Accounts Executive will be responsible for:

- Accurate and timely accounting entries.
- Timely processing of purchase and sales invoices.
- Updated vendor and customer ledgers.
- Regular bank reconciliation.
- Accurate GST and TDS records.
- Timely submission of required financial information.
- Proper project-wise expense recording.
- Timely settlement and monitoring of advances.
- Complete and organized accounting documentation.

4. Required Skills

Technical Skills

- Good knowledge of accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of Tally Prime / ERP accounting software.
- Good knowledge of GST and TDS.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- Knowledge of bank reconciliation.
- Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable.
- Basic understanding of project accounting.

Compensation CTC: Fixed Annual Renumeration of 5 to 7 Lakhs and variable component (Performance based Incentive) and commensurate with experience and capability.
