- Should be comfortable teaching English to Grades 3–5 and handling the academic requirements of these classes.

- Make English classes interactive and engaging through stories, games, role plays, activities and discussions.

- Focus on improving students’ speaking, reading, writing, listening and vocabulary skills.

- Conduct regular speaking activities such as storytelling, show and tell, picture talk, JAM, role play and group discussions.

- Build students’ confidence and communication skills by encouraging them to express their thoughts, participate in discussions and speak in front of others.

- Encourage students to read more and express their ideas confidently.

- Use creative activities to develop writing and comprehension skills.

- Communicate students’ progress, areas of improvement and learning needs effectively with parents when required.





- Prepare students for assemblies, competitions, speeches, elocution, storytelling and other school activities.

- Keep the classroom positive, disciplined and student-friendly.

- Conduct regular formative assessments, worksheets, class activities and oral assessments to monitor student progress.

- Work closely with other teachers and communicate with parents regarding students’ academic progress when required.

- Create and use creative teaching-learning materials, worksheets, activities and classroom resources to make English enjoyable and meaningful.
