Education : Should have Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology / Endoscopy Technology.

Experience : Minimum 4–5 years of experience in an Endoscopy Unit / Gastroenterology Department of a hospital.

- Assist Gastroenterologists and Surgeons during endoscopic procedures such as Upper GI Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Bronchoscopy, etc.
- Prepare the endoscopy room, equipment, instruments, and accessories before procedures.
- Check and ensure proper functioning of endoscopy equipment and related accessories.
- Assist doctors during procedures by handling endoscopic instruments and providing required support.
- Perform pre-procedure and post-procedure checks of equipment.
- Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain endoscopic instruments as per infection control guidelines.
- Maintain records of procedures, equipment usage, sterilization logs,



and patient-related documentation.
- Ensure availability of required consumables, accessories, and emergency equipment.
- Follow biomedical waste management and infection prevention protocols.
- Assist in patient preparation, positioning, and transfer before and after procedures.
- Ensure protected handling and storage of costly endoscopy equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunction or technical issues to the concerned authority.
- Maintain confidentiality and patient safety standards.
- Coordinate with nursing staff, doctors, and support teams for smooth functioning of the Endoscopy Unit.
