PIXIU SYSTEMS is an aerospace technology startup developing fixed-wing and hybrid VTOL UAV platforms for autonomous and mission-oriented applications. We are looking for an Embedded Systems Intern to work closely with our avionics and UAV engineering teams on real aircraft systems.
Role Overview The role involves developing, integrating, and testing embedded electronics and flight-control systems for UAV platforms, with exposure to flight controllers, sensors, telemetry, firmware, and autonomous flight systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and debug embedded firmware using C/C++.
- Work with STM32, ESP32, Arduino, and similar microcontrollers.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, ESCs, GNSS, telemetry, and other UAV electronics.
- Work with UART, SPI, I²C, CAN, PWM, and ADC interfaces.
- Configure and integrate Pixhawk-based flight-control systems.
- Work with ArduPilot, Mission Planner, QGroundControl, and MAVLink.
- Support sensor calibration, parameter configuration, and flight-controller integration.
- Perform hardware bring-up, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with UAV ground testing and flight validation.
- Maintain schematics, BOMs, firmware, test reports, and technical documentation.
Preferred Skills
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of embedded C/C++.
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers and embedded hardware.
- Familiarity with ArduPilot/PX4, Pixhawk, Mission Planner, or QGroundControl.
- Understanding of UAV electronics, flight controllers, sensors, telemetry, and communication protocols.
- Experience with soldering, multimeter, oscilloscope, or logic analyzer.
- UAV, drone, RC aircraft, robotics, or autonomous systems experience is highly preferred.
- PCB design experience using KiCad, Altium, or similar tools is an advantage.

Internship Details
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka — On-site
Duration: 3 Months
Stipend: ₹15,000/month
Full-Time Opportunity: Based on performance during the internship, the role may be converted to a full-time position with a salary of ₹25,000/month.
