About the role:
We design and build our own electronics in-house. You will own boards end to end - schematic to layout to a working, soldered, tested unit - and keep the production line moving when something on the bench misbehaves. Small team, direct ownership, quick decisions.
Role & responsibilities:
- Design schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts (up to 4-layer) in KiCad: symbol/footprint libraries, stack-up, ground and power planes, DRC clean output, Gerber, drill files and BOM release to fab.
- Select components, manage BOMs, and keep design documentation and revisions in order.
- Hand-solder and rework prototypes and production boards - SMD (0402 upward, QFN/TQFP) and through-hole - and support the assembly team with jigs, fixtures and process fixes.
- Bring up new boards: power-up and continuity checks, firmware flashing, peripheral verification and functional testing.
- Write and modify basic firmware in Embedded C on ARM / AVR / ESP32-class microcontrollers - enough to bring up peripherals, run test routines and keep production running.
- Debug analog and digital circuits at board level with DMM, oscilloscope and logic analyser; find root cause and close it with a design or process fix.
- Work with the production team on daily throughput, yield and field failure analysis.
Preferred candidate profile
- 1 to 5 years of hands-on experience in electronics hardware design and production support.
- B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Electronics, Electronics & Communication or equivalent.
- Solid, demonstrable KiCad skills - be ready to walk us through boards you have designed.
- Comfortable with 4-layer board design: stack-up, ground planes, power routing and basic signal integrity.
- Confident hand-soldering and rework skills on SMD and through-hole assemblies.
- Working knowledge of Embedded C and microcontroller peripherals (GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI, ADC, timers).
- Able to read datasheets, use a scope and logic analyser, and debug independently.
- This is a full-time in-office role and we are looking for a short, reliable daily commute.
Good to have:
- Experience with IoT products, wireless modules (BLE / Wi-Fi / LoRa / GSM) or sensor interfacing.
- Exposure to EMI/EMC basics, design for manufacturability, or building test jigs.
What we offer:
- Full time, permanent role with end-to-end ownership from schematic to shipped unit.
- Direct access to the bench, the production line and the people making decisions.
