Job Summary:

The Project Engineer – Electrical is responsible for supervising panel assembly, machine wiring, testing, FAT activities, project coordination, packaging, dispatch, and cross-functional coordination to ensure projects are completed on time with high quality and safety standards. The role involves discussion with sales, design review, site supervision, vendor coordination, and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Assembly & Wiring

- Supervise and execute electrical control panel assembly activities as per electrical drawings and standards.
- Oversee machine wiring, field wiring, cable routing, termination, and labelling activities.
- Ensure proper installation of electrical components such as PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, relays, safety devices, sensors, and instrumentation.
- Verify assembly quality and compliance with project specifications.

Testing & FAT

- Perform and supervise panel testing including:
- Power checks
- I/O checks
- Continuity testing
- Safety interlock verification
- Functional testing
- Coordinate and support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with customers and internal teams.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues during testing and commissioning stages.

Documentation & Quality

- Review electrical drawings, BOMs, cable schedules, and layouts.
- Maintain testing reports, FAT records, punch lists, and dispatch checklists.
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards and company quality procedures.

Project Coordination





- Plan and monitor assembly schedules to meet project timelines.
- Coordinate with:
- Electrical Design Team
- PLC/Software Team
- Mechanical Team
- Procurement
- Production
- Quality Team
- Track project progress and provide status updates to management .

Packaging & Dispatch

- Ensure proper machine and panel packing standards are followed.
- Coordinate dispatch activities and documentation.
- Verify readiness of material before shipment .

Team Handling & Supervision

- Lead assembly technicians and electricians.
- Allocate work responsibilities and monitor productivity.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
- Support training and skill development of team members.

Required Skills: · Robust knowledge of:

o Control panel assembly o Industrial machine wiring o Electrical schematics and drawings o PLC panels and automation systems o VFDs, Servo systems, Safety circuits

· Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Knowledge of FAT procedures and industrial safety practices.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional activities.

· Strong communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Diploma / bachelor’s degree in electrical & Electronics Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical assembly and project handling.
- Experience in automation machine building or control panel manufacturing industry preferred.
