Role Description The Electrical Panel Board Wiring Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Hosur. The role involves wiring and assembling electrical control panels, distribution boards, and automation panels according to engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and safety standards. The engineer will perform cable routing, terminations, labeling, and testing of panels, ensuring compliance with relevant electrical codes and company quality procedures.

Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting wiring issues, supporting installation and commissioning activities, coordinating with design and mechanical teams, and maintaining accurate documentation of panel layouts, bills of materials, and test reports.



The role also requires adherence to workplace safety practices and continuous improvement of panel manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layout drawings; strong understanding of power and control circuits.
- Proficiency in electrical panel wiring, cable routing, termination techniques, and use of standard electrical components (MCBs, contactors, relays, PLC I/O, terminal blocks).
- Experience in testing and troubleshooting panels using appropriate tools (multimeters, continuity testers, insulation testers) and resolving wiring faults.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical standards, safety practices, and industrial automation systems (motor control, sensors, actuators, PLC-based control).
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in industrial panel board wiring or electrical assembly in manufacturing or automation environments is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to work collaboratively with engineering and production teams on-site.
- Ability to manage time effectively, adapt to project requirements, and maintain high-quality workmanship under production schedules.
