Role & responsibilities :

Electrical Design & Engineering: -

- Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical layouts, cable routing, earthing layouts, and lightning protection designs.
- Design AC and DC electrical systems for ground-mounted and rooftop solar PV projects.
- Perform cable sizing, cable loss, current-carrying capacity, and voltage drop calculations.
- Select and size transformers, HT/LT panels, RMUs, inverters, and associated electrical equipment.
- Review switchyard, SCADA, and power distribution engineering.

Technical Documentation: -

- Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, datasheets, and engineering deliverables.
- Review and approve vendor drawings, design calculations, and engineering documents.
- Ensure designs comply with IEC, IS, CEA, and utility standards.

Procurement & Vendor Support :-

- Support procurement through technical bid evaluations and vendor selection.
- Coordinate with OEMs, consultants, and vendors to optimize design and project cost.
- Participate in value engineering and design risk assessment exercises.

Project Coordination :-

- Collaborate with Project Management, Civil, Procurement, and Construction teams.




- Monitor engineering schedules and ensure timely delivery of design documents.
- Resolve site engineering issues and provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning.

Feasibility & Performance : -

- Use PVsyst for energy yield analysis and design validation.
- Review energy yield assumptions and support project feasibility studies.
- Design battery bank and electrical distribution systems for integrated solar projects.

Required Skills : -

- Solid expertise in AC/DC system design for solar projects
- HT/LT Panels, RMU, Switchyard & SCADA engineering
- Transformer selection and electrical calculations
- Cable sizing, voltage drop, and protection coordination
- Earthing & lightning protection design
- PVsyst, AutoCAD, ETAP (preferred), and MS Office
- Working knowledge of IEC, IS, and CEA standards

Other Responsibilities • Maintain engineering documentation and design records. • Develop standard engineering practices and design templates. • Mentor and guide design engineers within the department. • Ensure adherence to company quality and safety requirements.
