POSITION: Electric Design Engineer

EXPERIENCE: 10+ Years

LOCATION: Pune

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Electric Design Engineer who can support the design and development of electrical systems for various packaging machines, feeding systems, secondary packaging machines, conveyor lines, and other integrated systems.

The candidate will be responsible for electrical design, component selection, documentation, change management, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion.

WHAT THE CANDIDATE SHOULD KNOW

- Machinery control systems for packaging machines, feeding systems, secondary packaging machines, and conveyor lines.
- Integrated systems such as check weighers, vision systems, sensors, and other machine interfaces.
- Basic electrical and electronic design engineering principles.
- Automation components, including PLCs, motion controllers, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
- Electrical interfaces between various machines and integrated systems.
- Cable assembly and harness design.
- Electrical design reports, BOMs, manufacturing documents, and related documentation.
- Change management and design-development processes.

TECHNICAL SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Motor selection and control-component selection.
- Sensor, relay, contactor, and switchgear selection.




- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NFPA, IEC, and BS codes.
- Familiarity with electrical CAD software, preferably Zuken E3 or equivalent.
- Ability to generate BOMs, manufacturing documents, and other electrical design reports.
- Ability to find practical solutions, achieve objectives, and drive projects to completion.
- Solid coordination with engineering, production, automation, and other cross-functional teams.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in electrical design and development.
- At least 3 years of experience in electrical design and development of packaging machinery or similar industrial machinery.
- Experience with packaging machines, feeding systems, secondary packaging machines, conveyor lines, and integrated automation systems will be preferred.
