Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field or higher with relevant experience.

Position Description: We are looking for an experienced Senior Developer / Technical Expert to join our team and work on the Enterprise Gateway EDI transaction platform. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in healthcare EDI processing, payer transaction systems, and Edifecs technologies.

The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing complex delivery solutions, providing technical guidance to team members and solution architects, and acting as a principal designer for complex systems and subsystems. The role involves working closely with IT management and technical teams to identify application development solutions, evaluate technology alternatives, integrate existing and purchased solutions, and deliver efficient and scalable EDI solutions.

The candidate will also be responsible for documenting, testing, implementing, and providing ongoing support for applications.

Your future duties and responsibilities

- Design and develop complex Healthcare EDI processing solutions.
- Work with healthcare payer transaction processing systems and develop solutions supporting HIPAA X12 and HL7 standards.
- Design, configure and develop solutions using Edifecs XEngine, XEServer, SpecBuilder, TM and EAM.
- Configure XEServer Routes and routing components, including File System, Data Storage, GBD Endpoints, XE Native, Translator, XData, Router, Aggregation, XML Splitter and XML Batcher.
- Develop and maintain Java, Groovy, UNIX and Python scripts for EDI processing and integration requirements.
- Design and implement integrations using IBM Sterling Integrator.




- Develop and maintain solutions using XML, XSL, XPath and JSON.
- Work with WebSphere MQ and related application programming concepts.
- Design, develop, test, implement and support EDI applications across the delivery lifecycle.
- Research and evaluate alternative technical solutions and recommend efficient and cost-effective approaches.
- Collaborate with IT management, solution architects and technical teams to define and deliver application solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and counsel to team members and contribute to solution architecture discussions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, implementation, documentation and ongoing application support.
- Follow Agile development methodologies and established software engineering practices.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role Must-Have Skills:

- Strong experience in Healthcare EDI processing and development.
- Experience with Healthcare Payer transaction processing systems.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA X12 transactions and HL7 standards.
- Hands-on experience with Edifecs XEngine, XEServer, SpecBuilder, TM and EAM.
- Experience configuring Edifecs XEServer Routes and Routing Components.
- Experience with Java/Groovy, UNIX and Python scripting.
- Experience with IBM Sterling Integrator.
- Strong knowledge of XML, XSL, XPath and JSON.
- Experience with WebSphere MQ application programming concepts.
- Experience with Oracle DBMS, including SQL Developer or Toad.
- Experience working with Windows Server and Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Experience with GitHub, Jenkins and UDeploy.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodology.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Positive-to-Have Skills:
- Experience designing end-to-end EDI integration solutions for healthcare payers.
- Experience working with complex Edifecs routing and transaction processing environments.
- Experience with application modernization, integration and code-reuse initiatives.
- Experience working with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

- Experience with high-volume healthcare transaction processing environments.
