We need 3 to 5 years Experience The Hospital Driver is responsible for safely transporting patients, medical staff, and hospital materials. This includes ambulance driving (if trained), patient transfers, and delivery of medical supplies, while ensuring comfort, safety, and timely service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive hospital vehicles (ambulance, vans, cars) for patient transport and staff movement
- Assist patients in getting in and out of vehicles, especially elderly or disabled individuals
- Transport medical equipment, lab samples, and documents between departments or locations
- Ensure vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and fueled at all times
- Follow all traffic laws and hospital safety protocols
- Maintain trip logs, fuel records, and vehicle maintenance reports
- Respond quickly in emergency situations (for ambulance drivers)
- Perform basic first aid if required (for ambulance roles)
- Coordinate with hospital staff for scheduling and transport needs
Required Qualifications
- Valid driving license (LMV/HMV depending on vehicle type)
- Clean driving record
- Basic knowledge of road safety and traffic rules
- Ability to read and write (minimum education may vary)
