Designation: Deputy Project Manager (DPM)

Reporting To: Project Manager

Location: Project Site

Job Purpose To support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, monitoring, and executing all construction activities, ensuring the project is completed safely, on schedule,

within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Project Execution

 Assist the Project Manager in day-to-day execution of the project.

 Coordinate civil, structural, architectural, MEP, infrastructure, and finishing activities.

 Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.

 Monitor contractor productivity and resource deployment.

- Planning & Scheduling

 Implement the approved master construction schedule.

 Prepare and monitor weekly and monthly work plans.

 Track project milestones and identify potential delays.

 Coordinate with the planning team for look-ahead schedules.

- Site Coordination

 Coordinate between consultants, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments.

 Conduct daily site review meetings.

 Resolve execution issues and technical conflicts.

 Ensure timely availability of work fronts.

- Quality Management

 Ensure compliance with approved Quality Assurance & Quality Control

(QA/QC) procedures.

 Monitor inspections and testing activities.

 Close quality observations and non-conformance reports (NCRs).

 Ensure defect-free execution and timely snag rectification.

- Safety Management

 Enforce project HSE policies and statutory safety requirements.





 Participate in safety inspections and toolbox meetings.

 Ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.

 Promote a zero-accident culture at site.

- Cost Control

 Monitor material consumption and labour productivity.

 Identify cost-saving opportunities.

 Verify contractor work quantities before certification.

 Assist in monitoring project budgets and cost reports.

- Procurement Coordination

 Review procurement requirements based on construction schedules.

 Coordinate with procurement for timely material and equipment delivery.

 Monitor vendor performance.

- Design Coordination

 Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, and MEP consultants.

 Resolve drawing discrepancies and technical queries.

 Ensure only approved drawings are issued for construction.

- Stakeholder Management

 Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, and contractors.

 Attend progress review meetings.

 Prepare project presentations and status reports.

- Documentation & Reporting

 Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

 Maintain records of site instructions, RFIs, inspections, and approvals.

 Support preparation of management dashboards and MIS reports.

Qualification

 B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory)

 M.Tech/Construction Management or PMP certification preferred.

Experience

 10–15 years of experience in residential high-rise construction.

 Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.

 Experience handling projects of ₹300–800 Crore.

 Exposure to basement, podium, tower construction, finishing, and external development works.
