Role Description The Director of Sales Marketing is a full-time, on-site role based at Merlis Hotels in Coimbatore. This role oversees all sales and marketing activities, including developing and implementing strategies to increase room revenue, banquet and events sales, and overall brand visibility. The Director leads the sales team, manages key corporate and travel accounts, builds relationships with local and regional partners, and identifies new business opportunities.

Daily tasks include monitoring sales performance, coordinating promotional campaigns, conducting market analysis, preparing sales reports, and working closely with operations to ensure guest expectations are met.



The role also involves representing the hotel at industry events, ensuring consistent brand messaging across channels, and collaborating with senior leadership on annual sales and marketing plans.

Qualifications

- Strong sales and business development skills, with a track record of driving revenue growth in hospitality or related industries.
- Experience in sales operations, including forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking.
- Proficiency in customer service and relationship management, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client partnerships.
- Demonstrated team management capabilities, including mentoring, performance evaluation, and collaborative leadership.
- Additional beneficial qualifications: bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality management, or a related field; experience with hotel sales systems and CRM tools; strong analytical and negotiation skills; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work on-site and adapt to a fast-paced hospitality environment.
