About the Role

We are looking for a Director of Product – Platform who is a builder at heart and passionate about creating scalable, high-performing technology platforms that power multiple products, channels, and customer experiences.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role for someone who can define the long-term platform vision while also diving deep into complex technical and product challenges. You will lead the evolution of fragmented systems into a unified, scalable, API-first platform ecosystem that enables faster innovation, improved customer experiences, and new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate combines strong product leadership, technical depth, platform thinking, and execution excellence . You should be comfortable moving from executive-level strategy discussions to detailed conversations around architecture, APIs, data models, integrations, scalability, and platform capabilities.

What You Will Do

Platform Strategy & Vision

- Define and own the long-term Platform Product Strategy, Vision, and Roadmap aligned with overall business and technology goals.
- Build a scalable and reusable platform ecosystem that enables multiple product teams, customer channels, and business use cases.
- Drive the transition from fragmented and legacy systems toward a contemporary, unified, API-first and scalable platform architecture .
- Identify common capabilities that can be built once and leveraged across multiple products and teams.
- Establish the platform's North Star metrics, including adoption, reliability, scalability, developer productivity, speed to market, and business impact.

Product & Technical Leadership

- Lead the development of complex platform capabilities across areas such as:
- Core commerce platforms
- APIs and integrations
- Shared services and reusable capabilities
- Data platforms and data products
- Identity and customer platforms
- Workflow and orchestration platforms
- Developer platforms and internal tools
- Platform modernization and legacy transformation
- Work closely with Engineering and Architecture teams to ensure product decisions are scalable, extensible, secure, and future-ready.
- Develop a strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, microservices, integrations, and data schemas.
- Challenge technical approaches and engineering estimates to ensure solutions address the root problem rather than creating short-term fixes.
- Drive platform capabilities from 0-to-1 development through large-scale adoption and 1-to-100 scaling .

Cross-Functional & Organizational Leadership
- Partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Data, Design, Business, Operations, and other Product teams.




- Drive alignment across multiple product teams and business units to ensure platform investments solve common problems and avoid duplication.
- Navigate complex stakeholder environments and influence senior leadership on platform priorities and investment decisions.
- Lead product strategy across geographically distributed and multi-cultural teams.
- Balance global platform standards with local market and business requirements.

Hands-On Execution
- Personally lead the most strategic, complex, and high-impact platform initiatives.
- Translate business problems into scalable platform capabilities and product requirements.
- Drive execution across multiple teams while managing dependencies, risks, and competing priorities.
- Ensure product initiatives move efficiently from strategy and discovery through development, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Establish clear product operating mechanisms, prioritization frameworks, and decision-making processes.

Build and Lead a World-Class Product Organization
- Build, scale, and lead a high-performing team of Platform Product Managers and Product Leaders.
- Hire exceptional product talent and maintain a consistently high hiring bar.
- Mentor and coach Product Managers to strengthen their product thinking, technical understanding, and execution capabilities.
- Establish clear career paths, performance expectations, and development opportunities for the team.
- Foster a culture of ownership, customer obsession, technical curiosity, speed, and high-quality execution.
- Take decisive action to address performance gaps and ensure the team operates at a high standard.

What We Are Looking For

Experience

- 14+ years of Product Management experience ,



with significant experience leading large-scale platform, infrastructure, or technology products.
- Proven experience building and scaling high-traffic B2C, e-commerce, digital, or consumer technology platforms .
- Experience leading complex product transformations involving legacy modernization and platform consolidation.
- Solid track record of building products from 0-to-1 and scaling them from 1-to-100 .
- Experience leading and developing Product Managers and Product Leaders.

Platform Product Expertise Strong understanding of one or more of the following:
- Platform Product Management
- API and Integration Platforms
- Microservices and Distributed Systems
- Developer Platforms
- Data Platforms
- Commerce or Marketplace Platforms
- Customer or Identity Platforms
- Shared Services and Enterprise Platforms
- Cloud-native architecture
- Platform modernization and legacy transformation

Technical Depth You do not need to be a software engineer, but you must be technically credible and comfortable discussing:
- System architecture
- APIs and API strategy
- Microservices and distributed systems
- Data models and schemas
- Platform scalability and performance
- System integrations
- Cloud infrastructure
- Reliability and observability
- Security and access management

You should be able to partner effectively with senior engineers and architects and challenge solutions based on scalability, extensibility, and long-term platform value.

Preferred Background- Candidates from product-based, high-growth technology, e-commerce, marketplace, fintech, consumer internet, SaaS, or large-scale digital platforms will be preferred.

Experience working with platforms supporting millions of users, high transaction volumes, or multiple product teams will be a strong advantage.
