About the Role The Economic Times is seeking a talented and dedicated Digital Content Creator to join our international news team on a contractual basis. The primary responsibility of this role is to craft engaging, accurate, and SEO-optimized articles for the International section. The ideal candidate will have a passion for news, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to produce compelling content that resonates with our global readership.

This role requires a proactive individual who can research international news topics thoroughly, understand the nuances of global affairs, and translate complex information into transparent, concise, and captivating articles.



The content created will play a crucial role in driving traffic, increasing engagement, and strengthening our brand presence across digital platforms. The position offers flexibility with work-from-home arrangements based in Noida, with operations conducted across various shifts, including graveyard shifts, to ensure 24/7 news coverage.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a strong command of the English language, with exceptional writing and editing skills. A background in journalism, mass communication, or related fields is preferred. Candidates must have at least 1 to 5 years of experience in digital content creation, news writing, or a similar role, preferably within an online media environment.

Proficiency in SEO content writing, familiarity with content management systems, and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines are essential. Experience with web research, understanding of keywords, meta tags, and digital content strategies will be advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive attitude, enthusiasm for news, and a strong sense of initiative. Prior experience working with news agencies or online content generation companies will be considered a plus.

Responsibilities

- Develop original and engaging news articles for the International section, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to journalistic standards.
- Research and analyze international news topics using credible sources and web research techniques.
- Create compelling headlines and body copy optimized for SEO to attract and retain reader interest.




- Proofread and edit content to eliminate errors, inconsistencies, and ensure stylistic coherence across articles.
- Ensure all content aligns with The Economic Times’ editorial guidelines and brand voice.
- Utilize keywords, meta tags, and other SEO tools to enhance content visibility and search engine rankings.
- Collaborate with editors and other team members to meet publishing deadlines and editorial standards.
- Participate in shift rotations, including graveyard shifts, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to continuous news coverage.
- Maintain a proactive approach to content creation, staying updated on global news trends and developments.
