Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build and manage automated, secure and highly reliable delivery pipelines and cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work closely with customers, architects and internal engineering teams to build robust CI/CD, IaC and observability practices while mentoring junior engineers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, or CircleCI.
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (primary) with working knowledge of Ansible and/or Pulumi for configuration management and automated provisioning.
- Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes (GKE) – cluster administration, workload orchestration, autoscaling, and Helm chart authoring.
- Implement GitOps workflows using tools like ArgoCD or Flux.
- Containerization expertise with Docker – image builds, multi-stage builds, and container registry management (Artifact Registry / GCR).
- Design, deploy and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with familiarity across AWS/Azure considered a plus for multi-cloud environments.
- Build and maintain observability and monitoring stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK Stack, Cloud Monitoring/Cloud Logging, or Datadog.
- Hands-on Linux administration and scripting using Bash, Shell, and Python; working knowledge of Go is a plus.




- Manage secrets and configuration using tools such as HashiCorp Vault, GCP Secret Manager, or equivalent.
- Experience with artifact and package management using Artifactory, Nexus, or native GCP Artifact Registry.
- Database experience across MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL systems (MongoDB), including backup, replication and performance tuning in production environments.
- Solid understanding of Cloud Security fundamentals – IAM, network security, policy-as-code (OPA/Gatekeeper), and vulnerability scanning (Trivy, Snyk).
- Implement Service Mesh and networking concepts using Istio or equivalent, where applicable.
- Proficient in System Design fundamentals, microservices architecture, and modern architectural patterns.
- Strong programming/scripting fundamentals with proficiency in Python; working knowledge of Java or Go is a plus.
- Familiarity with Data Warehouse solutions and modern data architectures.
- Drive incident management, on-call practices, and SRE principles – SLIs/SLOs, alerting, and root-cause analysis.
- Strong learning mindset with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and tools.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

- 2–5 years of hands-on DevOps/SRE experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes (GKE).
- Proven experience with Terraform-driven infrastructure automation at scale.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across distributed systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Positive to Have:

1. Google Cloud certifications (Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer / Professional Cloud Architect).
2. Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure).
3. Experience working with startups or fast-growing organizations.
