AT&T; BAU Design Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities

- Prepare and review AT&T; BAU design prints and engineering packages in accordance with client standards.
- Perform network design activities for copper and fiber infrastructure upgrades, relocations, and maintenance projects.
- Analyze existing network records and field data to develop accurate design solutions.
- Coordinate with internal teams, overseas stakeholders, and client representatives to ensure project requirements are met.
- Utilize Waldo and/or ARAMIS for project tracking, design management, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with AT&T; engineering standards, permits, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Maintain project records, milestone tracking, and database updates.
- Support project delivery by addressing design-related queries and providing technical guidance.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality, cost, and timeline expectations.

Required Skills & Abilities

- Mandatory experience in Waldo and/or ARAMIS.
- Solid experience in AT&T; BAU Design Engineering projects.




- Knowledge of AT&T; portals and tools such as APEX, IMAGINE, MIC, XNG, NOVA, AOTX, LFACS, USH, CEOOT.
- Understanding of Outside Plant (OSP) telecom design, including aerial and underground facilities.
- Ability to read and interpret AT&T; network records, utility maps, and engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with public right-of-way requirements, permits, and utility conflict analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with offshore/onshore stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience Requirement

- Minimum 1+ years of experience in AT&T; BAU Design Engineering projects.
- Hands-on experience with Waldo or ARAMIS is mandatory.
- Experience in AT&T; OSP design, relocations, maintenance, and network enhancement projects preferred.
- FTTH experience is not required; candidates with dedicated BAU experience will be preferred.
