We are looking for a Design Engineer OHE/OCS/OLE – Contact Line Systems – Rail Electrification

You’ll make a difference by:

- Prepare comprehensive OCS/OHE/OLE designs in accordance with customer specifications, applicable Indian/European/international standards, railway safety requirements, and Siemens internal guidelines.
- Lead and deliver OCS design packages across concept, preliminary, detailed, construction, and as-built project phases while meeting time, cost, and quality targets.
- Develop key design deliverables including Layout Plans, Cross-Section Designs, Structure Erection Drawings, Allocation Designs, Bonding and Earthing Plans, Profiles, Isolation Plans, BOQs, and related technical documentation.
- Perform and review engineering calculations such as span calculations, conductor tensile force, dropper calculations, stagger, clearance studies, static calculations and tensioning arrangements etc.
- Carry out independent design checks and technical reviews to ensure accuracy, constructability, safety, maintainability, and compliance with project requirements.
- Clarify and coordinate technical interfaces with track, civil, structures, signalling, traction power supply, utilities, installation,



and project engineering teams.
- Support system integration by identifying interface risks, design constraints, site dependencies, and constructability issues, and propose practical engineering solutions.
- Provide technical support during bid, design, installation, testing, commissioning, and site clarification phases.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers, support knowledge sharing, and guide team members in OCS design methods, tools, standards, and review practices.
- Coordinate with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and international stakeholders for technical clarifications, design reviews, and deliverable approvals.
- Design of complete third Rail system, associated products.
- Required Third Rail design calculations like gap study, dead zone simulations etc.
- Plan, organize, and control assigned engineering work packages with clear progress tracking, issue management, and timely escalation of risks and dependencies.
- Work effectively with Open Rail Overhead Line Designer, MicroStation, AutoCAD, and BIM/model-based design environments for OCS/OHE/OLE.

You’ll win us over by:

- Bachelor’s degree or above in electrical engineering




- Preferable 5-10 years of professional experience in the field of overhead catenary & third Rail system.
- Knowledge of 25 kV and 2X25 kV overhead electrification and 3rd rail system.
- Professional experience in Open Rail Designer, or any Microstation modeling software and/or ACAD
- Knowledge of relevant Indian, European and international standards and railway safety principles
- Knowledge of traction power supply AC and DC systems
- Knowledge of BIM Modelling
- Knowledge of engineering processes
- Experience in international project working environment
- Intercultural experience and positive English language.
