Job Overview

We are looking for a Deputy Manager Maintenance (Mechanical) to manage mechanical maintenance activities at a food manufacturing plant. The role will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, breakdown management and smooth plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage mechanical maintenance of plant machinery, utilities and production equipment.

- Plan and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities.

- Ensure maximum equipment availability and minimize downtime and breakdowns.

- Handle maintenance of process equipment, conveyors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, boilers, HVAC/chillers and other utility equipment.

- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA)



for recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

- Plan maintenance schedules, shutdowns and overhauling activities.

- Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Utility, Quality and EHS teams.

- Manage maintenance spares, inventory, vendors and external service agencies.

- Monitor maintenance KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, downtime and equipment availability.

- Ensure compliance with plant safety, food safety and maintenance standards.

- Lead and guide maintenance technicians and supervisors.

- Maintain maintenance records, reports and documentation.
