We are seeking a Healthcare Clinical Services SME with HIS implementation experience.
The Deputy
Manager - EMR Implementation is responsible for designing and formulating SNHC s clinical workflow for adoption in the HIS system. The role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and successful implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) modules within the Hospital Information System (HIS). The role ensures successful clinical adoption, system configuration, workflow alignment, user training, and post-go-live support while maintaining compliance with clinical, operational and regulatory standards.
Role Responsibilities
1. Conduct detailed discussions and requirement gathering with doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals within SNHC to develop a near paperless organisation.
2. Ensure configuration, customisation and complete alignment of HIS EMR workflows with SNHC s clinical processes and best practices.
3. Configure clinical templates, order sets, documentation workflows, and specialty-specific EMR forms and design UAT Test Cases.
4. Coordinate with HIS vendors, clinical teams, and internal IT stakeholders for configuration and rollout.
5. Execute end-to-end implementation of EMR modules across clinical departments (OPD, IPD, ICU, OT, Emergency).
6. Prepare and manage implementation plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
7. Validate system functionality through gap analysis and clinical scenario testing.
8. Primary point of contact between clinical users, hospital management, and HIS vendors for EMR.
9. Plan and facilitate role-based workshops, demonstrations and training for clinical teams, viz doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff.
10.
Facilitate EMR adoption and minimize dependency on manual or paper-based processes.
11. Support EMR go-live activities including data readiness, user readiness, and on-site support.
12. Support digital documentation compliance.
13. Generate and validate EMR-related reports for management and clinical governance.
14. Participate in HIS enhancement initiatives.
Qualification Experience
Education:
1. Essential - Bachelor s degree in healthcare (MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS)
2. Desirable - Master s degree in Hospital Administration / Health Informatics / IT
Experience:
1. 3-5 years of experience in HIS/EMR implementation (preferable in healthcare IT company)
2. Hands-on experience in clinical module implementation is mandatory
Professional
1. Strong knowledge of HIS / EMR systems and hospital clinical workflows
2. Understanding of OPD, IPD, ICU, OT, Emergency, Blood Bank, CSSD processes
3. Experience in Gap Analysis, UAT and clinical configuration
4. Familiarity with healthcare standards like ICD, CPT, SNOMED, NABH Digital
5. Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
6. Excellent communication and documentation abilities
7. Problem-solving and analytical thinking
