Job Responsibilities
- Examine, diagnose and provide appropriate treatment for dental and oral health conditions.
- Conduct dental OPD consultations and provide preventive, restorative and basic dental care.
- Perform routine dental procedures such as scaling, fillings, extractions and other minor procedures as per competency.
- Assess patients and prepare appropriate treatment plans.
- Educate patients regarding oral hygiene, dental care and preventive measures.
- Maintain proper patient records, treatment details and follow-up information.
- Identify cases requiring specialist treatment and refer them appropriately.
- Ensure proper infection-control and sterilization practices in the dental department.
- Maintain and handle dental instruments and equipment properly.
- Ensure proper documentation of procedures and treatments provided.
Dental Camp Responsibilities
- Participate in dental camps and community outreach programmes organized by the hospital.
- Conduct dental screening and basic oral health examinations during camps.
- Identify dental and oral health conditions requiring further treatment.
- Provide basic dental treatment and preventive advice at camps, wherever feasible.
- Educate the community on oral hygiene, brushing techniques, diet and prevention of dental diseases.
- Maintain records of patients screened and treated during dental camps.
- Coordinate with the hospital team for follow-up and referral of patients requiring further treatment.
- Support awareness programmes on dental and oral health in schools, rural areas and communities.
Qualification
- BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from a recognized institution.
- Experience - 2 - 3 years
- Valid registration with the State Dental Council / Dental Council of India as applicable.
Experience
- Freshers may be considered.
- Experience in Dental OPD and community dental camps will be preferred.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
