Job Title: Dell PowerEdge Server Support Engineer

Location: Kuduvanjeri, Chennai - Onsite

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field

We are looking for a hands-on Dell PowerEdge Server Support Engineer to provide onsite hardware and infrastructure support in a data center workplace. The ideal candidate will have solid experience troubleshooting server issues, replacing hardware components, and coordinating with OEM support teams under SLA-driven timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Dell PowerEdge rack and tower servers
- Diagnose and replace hardware components HDDs/SSDs, RAM, CPUs, power supplies, RAID controllers, NICs, motherboards, and fans
- Configure and troubleshoot RAID using Dell PERC controllers
- Perform firmware and BIOS updates using Dell tools
- Install and support Windows Server and Linux operating systems




- Configure and troubleshoot iDRAC for remote server management
- Conduct server health checks, preventive maintenance, and hardware diagnostics
- Troubleshoot boot failures, performance degradation, and hardware alerts
- Coordinate with Dell support for warranty claims and spare part replacement
- Document service activities and update ITSM tickets within SLA
- Provide onsite support for incidents, planned maintenance, and hardware upgrades

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience with Dell PowerEdge server hardware in enterprise/data center environments
- Practical exposure to server-down troubleshooting and part replacement (RAM, motherboard, fan, PSU, RAID controller)
- Experience with firmware upgrades and Dell warranty support processes
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in SLA-driven environments
- Good documentation and reporting discipline
- Comfortable coordinating with OEM (Dell) support teams
