We are looking for a motivated and empathetic Debt Counsellor to support customers facing financial difficulties. The candidate will assess customers’ financial situations, provide suitable debt-management guidance, and help them develop practical repayment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Speak with customers to understand their financial situation and outstanding debts.
- Provide professional counselling and guidance on debt repayment options.
- Review income, expenses, liabilities, and repayment capacity.
- Help customers develop realistic repayment strategies.
- Negotiate and coordinate with relevant stakeholders where required.
- Maintain accurate customer records and follow up on agreed repayment plans.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and confidentially.
- Ensure all interactions comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Meet assigned performance and customer-service targets.
Requirements
- Any Graduate
- fresher –5 years of experience in debt counselling, collections, banking, financial services, or customer support.
- Robust communication and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of personal finance and debt-management concepts.
- Empathetic, patient, and solution-oriented approach.
- Comfortable working with targets and customer follow-ups.
- Basic computer and MS Office skills.
