Absolutely. This is essentially a DCS Technical Support / L3 Support Engineer role for ABBs Process Automation products.

The candidate will be a senior DCS engineer who troubleshoots complex automation-system problems.

Think of the role as:

L1/L2 team gets a difficult DCS problem candidate investigates deeply identifies root cause fixes it or sends a confirmed defect to R&D.;

The person will typically work on:

DCS systems used to control industrial plants.

Troubleshooting issues during commissioning, testing, maintenance and live plant operation.

Analyzing system logs, alarms, configurations and communication issues.

Reproducing customer problems in a lab/test environment.

Supporting ABB field/service/project teams.

Working with R&D;/Product teams when the issue is a genuine product defect.

Maintaining technical documentation and knowledge for future cases.
