Your Mission:

As a Database Administrator, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our client’s cutting-edge data infrastructure. Your work will not only address operational challenges but also drive transformative changes that elevate the entire data platform.

Key Responsibilities:

- Master MySQL Magic: Provision and manage MySQL instances, from clustered setups to non-clustered configurations, ensuring peak performance and security.
- Optimization Extraordinaire: Guarantee high availability and flawless performance for massive Terabyte-sized databases.
- Critical Issue Resolver: Tackle complex production issues and ensure 99.999% uptime, identifying and addressing areas for improvement.

- 24/7 Support Hero: Join the DBA team’s on-call rotation, delivering reliable support for production databases and troubleshooting issues.

About You:

- Experience: You bring 5 years of DBA expertise, with a solid 3+ years of managing production MySQL databases in high-traffic, replicated environments.
- Cloud Pro: Skilled in managing databases in AWS, GCP, or similar cloud platforms, with hands-on experience in cloud environments.
- Expert Troubleshooter: Deep understanding of MySQL architecture, InnoDB storage engine, and top-notch diagnostic skills.
- Bonus Skills: Experience with Continuent Tungsten, AWS Redshift, Aurora, PostgreSQL, or emerging tech like in-memory databases or Kafka is a huge plus.
