Job Role Database Admin L2

Roles & Responsibilities:-

- Administer and support enterprise databases across Production, DR, UAT, QA, and Development environments.
- Manage database provisioning, upgrades, patching, migrations, maintenance, and decommissioning activities.
- Monitor database health, performance, availability, and capacity; perform performance tuning and optimization.
- Manage backup, recovery, replication, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes aligned with RPO/RTO requirements.
- Ensure database security, access management, audit compliance, encryption, and risk remediation.
- Act as the L3 escalation point for major incidents, outages, problem management, RCA,



and change governance.
- Lead cloud migration, platform modernization, database upgrades, and architecture improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with vendors, managed service providers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and operational excellence.
- Drive automation, process improvements, operational governance, and technical documentation.
- Mentor junior DBA resources and support team development initiatives.

Required Technical Skills:-

- Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022)
- PostgreSQL & MySQL Administration
- Azure SQL Database, Azure Database for PostgreSQL & MySQL
- Performance Tuning, Query Optimization & Index Management
- Backup & Recovery, High Availability and Disaster Recovery
- PowerShell, T-SQL & Database Automation
- ITIL Processes, Audit & Compliance
- Cloud Migration and Database Modernization
- Strong hands-on DBA experience with SQL Server and exposure to PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Azure databases.
- Experience in performance tuning, security, backup & DR, and database operations.
- Strong incident management and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in vendor management, SLA governance, and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to drive ownership, accountability, and resolution during critical incidents and project deliveries.

Qualifications Any Graduate-B.Sc IT / BCA / B.E. / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent degree Job Location:- Bandra, Mumbai/Hybrid

Relevant Experience:- 6 to 10 years
