About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Database Admin L2 to manage and support enterprise database environments across Production, DR, UAT, QA, and Development. The role involves database administration, performance optimization, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, security, cloud migration, and database modernization. Location: Bandra, Mumbai / Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and support enterprise databases across Production, DR, UAT, QA, and Development environments.
- Manage database provisioning, upgrades, patching, migrations, maintenance, and decommissioning.
- Monitor database health, performance, availability, and capacity.
- Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and index management.
- Manage backup, recovery, replication, high availability, and disaster recovery activities.
- Ensure database security, access management, audit compliance, and encryption.
- Handle major incidents, outages, RCA, problem management, and change activities.
- Support cloud migration, database upgrades, modernization, and architecture improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with vendors, managed service providers,



and internal stakeholders.
- Drive automation and process improvements using database administration tools and scripting.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational reports.
- Mentor junior DBA resources and support team development.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019/2022.
- Positive knowledge of PostgreSQL and MySQL Administration.
- Experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
- Strong knowledge of performance tuning, query optimization, and index management.
- Experience in backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Hands-on knowledge of PowerShell, T-SQL, and database automation.
- Understanding of ITIL processes, audit, compliance, and database security.
- Experience in cloud migration and database modernization.
- Strong incident management, troubleshooting, vendor management, and stakeholder communication skills.

Qualification

B.Sc. IT / BCA / B.E. / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent degree
