Megamet is a Mumbai-based company operating in the timber industry, involved in the import, distribution, and supply of sawn timber products. The company focuses on providing quality timber products and reliable service to B2B customers.

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Data Scientist Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in data analysis, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. You will work with real-world data, assist in developing analytical models, and support the team in generating meaningful business insights.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets.
- Assist in developing and implementing data-driven solutions.
- Support the development of Machine Learning and predictive models.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
- Create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Work with Python, SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools.
- Collaborate with different teams to understand business requirements.
- Assist in improving data quality and maintaining databases.
- Conduct research on new data science and AI techniques.

Required Skills & Qualifications





- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Python and SQL.
- Understanding of Machine Learning concepts and algorithms.
- Familiarity with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, or Matplotlib.
- Knowledge of Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Positive communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and work on real-world projects.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI.
- Experience with data visualization.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms is an added advantage.
- Previous academic or personal data science projects.
