Position: Data Engineer Snowflake Location: Pune The position will be a Data Engineer within the Data Science and Engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and supporting contemporary data platforms and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data engineering, data architecture, and data integration, with the ability to lead technical initiatives, drive solution design, and contribute hands-on to the development of scalable cloud-based data solutions.

Job Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, implement and manage scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using modern integration and transformation technologies.
- Manage data analysis and data integration of content from disparate systems in both cloud and on-prem environment.
- Design and build scalable data models and transformation frameworks supporting enterprise analytics and reporting solutions.




- Evaluate and improve existing Data Integrations.
- Develop and maintain data transformation workflows using dbt and other modern data engineering frameworks.
- Build and support cloud-based data solutions on Snowflake and AWS platforms.
- Develop and maintain orchestration workflows using Airflow or similar enterprise scheduling platforms.
- Partner with analytics teams to enable trusted datasets and reporting solutions for Tableau and other BI platforms.
- Create high-level plans, design and execute to deliver solutions working with business and IT staff.
- Lead the design and development of data solutions for the Society Division within ACS.
- Gather, document and design key business definitions, measures, and standards.
- Develop and execute test plans and work with QA teams to understand and teach.
- Develop and update technical documentation.
- Ensure data is accurate, consistent, and accessible.

Job Requirements

- B.S. in Information Systems or similar IT or Business field with 7-8 years of applicable experience in Data Engineering
- Expertise in data warehousing, database design, and dimensional modeling with strong experience in Snowflake and cloud-based analytical platforms. Knowledge of SQL Server and Google BigQuery is a plus.




- Significant hands-on experience building and supporting modern data warehouses, lakehouse platforms, data pipelines, and analytical solutions using Snowflake and related cloud technologies.
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data integration tools such as Talend, Fivetran, or similar platforms.
- Experience developing and maintaining scalable data transformation and data modeling solutions using dbt.
- Experience with orchestration and workflow management tools such as Apache Airflow or equivalent platforms.
- Experience supporting business intelligence and reporting solutions using Tableau or similar analytics platforms.
- Experience developing cloud-native data solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, and related data platform technologies.
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering, automation, and data processing solutions.
- Experience with Agile and other software development methodologies.
- Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and familiarity with Sprint and Kanban.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and customer service skills.
- Expert knowledge of data warehousing concepts and design principles.
- Ability to plan work and deliver accurate estimates as a technical lead.
- Excellent communication skills, to work well in a medium sized development team with business users and technical staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively with business partners and IT to implement data solutions.
- Ability to effectively lead and guide others to achieve project objectives.
- Ability to quickly adapt and respond to new project requirements.
