About The Role GyanSys Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer / Consultant to join our expanding Data & Analytics practice. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data engineering solutions on modern cloud platforms.

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, business stakeholders, data scientists, and BI professionals, to build robust, scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions that support strategic decision-making.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Engineering, Databricks, PySpark, Apache Spark, Python, and SQL. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing modern data architectures, ensuring data quality, governance, and security, while optimizing performance and costs across cloud environments.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of four years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles is required.

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate,



Azure Data Engineer Associate, or Databricks Certified Data Engineer are highly preferred. Proven experience working with cloud platforms, relational databases, data modeling, and enterprise data architecture is essential. Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines that support enterprise data platforms, ensuring efficient data ingestion and transformation processes.
- Create data engineering solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Python to process structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Build and optimize data pipelines for various data types, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Work extensively with Microsoft Fabric components such as Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflows, and Notebooks to develop comprehensive data solutions.
- Implement and maintain Delta Lake pipelines, Databricks workflows, and Medallion Architecture to support modern Lakehouse and Data Platform architectures.
- Integrate data from diverse sources, including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, APIs, cloud storage, ERP systems, and SaaS applications, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
- Design and implement efficient data models, data warehouses, data lakes, and Lakehouse solutions aligned with enterprise requirements.
- Optimize data pipelines, Spark jobs, SQL queries, clusters,



and storage for enhanced performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement data quality, validation, monitoring, governance, security, and compliance practices to ensure data integrity and regulatory adherence.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and other version control tools to streamline deployment and updates.
- Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement performance improvements to ensure system stability.
- Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, data scientists, and BI teams to deliver comprehensive data solutions.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to promote best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering skill development and adherence to technical standards within the team.
