About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer / Data Management Specialist with strong hands-on expertise in Informatica, Snowflake, Informatica Data Catalog (IDC), SQL, and Data Modelling.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, developing data models, managing metadata and data lineage, and supporting enterprise data governance and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica.
- Work extensively with Snowflake for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and warehousing.
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Use Informatica Data Catalog (IDC) for data profiling, metadata management, data discovery, and lineage analysis.
- Configure metadata harvesting and connectivity across enterprise data sources.
- Build data integration workflows across databases, cloud platforms, applications, and enterprise systems.
- Develop optimized SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and Snowflake transformation logic.
- Design scalable dimensional models, including fact and dimension tables, star and snowflake schemas.
- Support data quality, governance, lineage, classification, and metadata management initiatives.
- Analyze existing data structures and recommend improvements to data models and integration architecture.
- Troubleshoot ETL/data pipeline issues, performance bottlenecks, and data quality problems.
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Analysts, Business Analysts, and application teams to understand and translate data requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation for data flows, mappings, data models, and integration processes.
- Follow best practices around data security, access management, performance, governance, and maintainability.

Required Skills

Informatica





- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica ETL/Data Integration.
- Experience developing mappings, workflows, transformations, and reusable components.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration patterns.

Snowflake

- Strong experience with Snowflake Data Warehousing.
- Excellent SQL skills.
- Hands-on experience with schemas, tables, views, stages, warehouses, and data-loading mechanisms.
- Understanding of Snowflake performance optimization and scalable data-processing techniques.

Informatica Data Catalog (IDC)

- Hands-on experience with Informatica Data Catalog.
- Knowledge of metadata management, data discovery, and data lineage.
- Experience with metadata harvesting, technical/business metadata, data classification, and impact analysis.
- Understanding of enterprise data governance and data catalog concepts.

Data Modelling

- Strong understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling.
- Experience with dimensional modelling, star schemas, and snowflake schemas.
- Knowledge of fact/dimension tables, normalization, denormalization, keys, relationships, and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable data models.

Positive to Have

- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI).
- Experience with Informatica Cloud Data Quality (CDQ).
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks.
- Exposure to Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of Python or scripting languages.
- Experience working in Agile environments.

Experience & Education
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, Data Management, or Data Warehousing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica and Snowflake.
- Practical experience with Informatica Data Catalog and Data Modelling.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
