About the role

We build reporting, dashboarding, and AI-driven automation solutions for enterprise clients across top industries including FMCG, finance, and retail: MIS reports, Power BI dashboards, data models, and process automation built with Excel, Python and ETL tools. A typical engagement means taking a client’s raw, messy data, building the model and the pipeline behind it, and shipping a dashboard or an automated report they rely on every week.

You will own this end to end: the extraction, the model, the automation, the validation and the final report or dashboard. This is a build-and-think role.

How we work, and what we are really hiring for

Our delivery is AI-assisted. Your effort concentrates on the data model, on reviewing what the tools produce, on edge cases, on data quality, and on getting a report or a dashboard genuinely production-ready for a client.

We want someone who is genuinely fast with AI-assisted tools - Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Copilot in Power BI and Fabric - for writing SQL, DAX, and Python, and equally rigorous about checking what they produce before it reaches a client. If that is already how you work, you will fit right in.

One line worth saying plainly, because it is the part of AI-assisted work that goes wrong quietly: we use AI on the logic, not on client data. Schemas, structures, and sample shapes go into a tool; client rows and personal data do not. You will be expected to know the difference and to hold that line without being asked.

Responsibilities

- Translate client requirements into specific reports, dashboards or automation specs.
- Independently develop reports, dashboards and automation using Power BI, Excel and Python.
- Design data models and build the pipeline behind a dashboard: extraction and ETL, transformation, modeling and the visual layer.
- Source data from client systems - ERP and accounting exports, SharePoint and Excel drops, REST APIs, databases and flat files - and handle schema changes and bad data without silent failures.
- Automate processes and reports using Python, macros, VBA and ETL tools.
- Use AI tools as a standard part of building reports, dashboards and automation, and own the review, testing and validation of everything they produce before it reaches a client.
- Publish and operate what you ship: scheduled refresh, gateway connections, workspace and access setup, refresh-failure handling,



and documentation good enough to hand over.
- Test and validate outputs before anything reaches a client: numbers tie out to source, control totals reconcile, edge cases handled.
- Client-facing time: requirement calls, demos, and walkthroughs.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing dashboards and reports as client data or requirements change.
- Identify gaps and raise the right queries throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to delivery.
- Scale and extend projects based on client feedback, and record and report on work done.
- Participate in developing case studies: scope, record, and report on work done.
- Stay current on relevant tools and techniques to modernize how clients report and automate.

Technical skills

Must have

- Python
- used to independently build reports and automation; comfortable with pandas and with scripting against client data.

- SQL

- writing and tuning queries against relational databases for reporting and analysis.

- Power BI

- dashboard design, plus Power BI Service & Power BI Gateway.

- Power Pivot / DAX (or MSBI more broadly) - modelling and calculated measures.
- Data modelling

- star schemas, fact and dimension tables, grain, and relationships you set up yourself rather than inherit.

- Advanced Excel

- formulas, features, and VBA for Excel (optional) or MS Office automation.

- Testing and validation

- reconciling to source, control totals, row-count and edge-case checks, and a regression check after a model change. Numbers that tie out are the deliverable; the dashboard is how they get seen.

- Data handling and access control

- Power BI row-level security, workspace and app permissions, gateway credentials, and judgement about what client data may leave the client environment.

- AI-assisted delivery

- fluent and critical use of AI tools for SQL, DAX, and Python.

- Technical architecture

- able to read and assess a technical architecture and a project scope, and to say what will and will not work.

- Git / GitHub

- branching, pull requests, and review for the Python, SQL and DAX you write. If you have not used it, say so: we will get you there, but you will be working in it.

- A portfolio of reports, dashboards or automation to your name, with a github link we can open.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, and a critical mindset.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience handling datasets or preparing automated reports, with at least 1 year of real client project work in Python and Power BI.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in data analytics, data science or a related field. A strong portfolio of delivered dashboards, reports or automation will be considered in place of a formal degree.
- Professional working English - you will be on client requirement calls, demos and walkthroughs.
- Your own laptop and a reliable broadband connection. This is a remote role, and you will connect to a cloud remote system.
- Legally authorized to work in India.
