About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst specialized in healthcare data to join our dynamic team at Persistent Systems. This role is pivotal in supporting our healthcare analytics initiatives by analyzing large-scale healthcare datasets, developing robust data models, and ensuring seamless data integration across platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including healthcare operations, clinical, finance, and compliance, to translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative healthcare solutions, improve operational efficiencies, and support value-based care initiatives. The role requires a strong technical foundation in SQL, healthcare data modeling, and data warehousing, coupled with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, statistics, healthcare analytics, or a related field. A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience working with US healthcare datasets, including claims, advantages, and eligibility data, is essential. Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing complex healthcare data is required.
Familiarity with modern data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake and MySQL is highly desirable.
Candidates should have experience creating detailed healthcare process documentation and data flow diagrams using tools like Microsoft Visio or draw.io. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to validate and reconcile large datasets, are crucial.
Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively convey technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to healthcare data analysis and reporting. You will analyze large datasets such as claims, provider, utilization, and quality data to support business and regulatory reporting needs. Writing, optimizing, and validating complex SQL queries to extract meaningful insights is a core part of the role.
You will perform data validation, reconciliation, and transformation to ensure data accuracy and consistency. In addition, you will work with Snowflake, MySQL, and related platforms to support healthcare data models, marts, and analytics layers, collaborating closely with data engineering teams to ensure reliable data ingestion and integration from source systems like claims processing and provider systems. Supporting analytics initiatives related to value-based care, population health, and operational efficiency is also part of your responsibilities.
Creating comprehensive process flows, data lineage diagrams, and system architecture visuals using Microsoft Visio or draw.io will help document healthcare data workflows. You will also document healthcare business rules, data definitions, metrics logic, and reporting methodologies to standardize metrics aligned with healthcare programs. Partnering with stakeholders across various departments,
translating complex healthcare data into clear insights, and presenting findings to leadership and cross-functional teams will be vital to your success in this role.
