Role Description The Dangerous Goods Instructor is responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating training programs related to the safe handling, packaging, documentation, and transportation of dangerous goods in accordance with national and international regulations (such as IATA and DGCA). In this full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, the instructor conducts classroom and practical training sessions for flight operations, ground handling, cargo, and support teams, ensuring consistent compliance across the organization. The role includes developing and updating training materials, manuals, and e-learning content to reflect regulatory changes and internal policies,



as well as maintaining accurate training records and certification status for personnel.

The Dangerous Goods

Instructor collaborates with safety, quality, and operations teams to identify training needs, support audits, and contribute to incident prevention initiatives. The position also requires regular monitoring of regulatory developments and participation in internal reviews to continuously improve training effectiveness.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of dangerous goods regulations and standards (e.g., IATA DGR, ICAO, DGCA) and demonstrated ability to interpret and apply them in aviation operations.
- Experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating instructor-led training programs, preferably in aviation, logistics, or cargo operations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups of learners and simplify complex regulatory topics.
- Attention to detail and strong documentation skills to develop training materials, maintain accurate records, and support audits and compliance reviews.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including safety, quality, flight operations, and ground handling staff.
- Prior experience in cargo or airline operations, especially in dangerous goods handling, is highly beneficial.
- Relevant certifications in dangerous goods instruction or training (e.g., IATA Dangerous Goods Instructor qualification) are preferred.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in aviation, logistics, science, or a related field, or equivalent professional
