Crossing Infotech is offering a full-time remote internship opportunity for an aspiring Cyber Security professional to gain practical exposure to cybersecurity fundamentals, security monitoring, network security, vulnerability concepts, incident documentation, and security best practices.

The role focuses on supporting cybersecurity-related activities in a supervised learning environment while developing practical knowledge of security operations, risk awareness, and defensive security practices.

Responsibilities

- Assist with basic cybersecurity monitoring and security-related tasks.
- Support the review of security alerts under appropriate guidance.
- Assist with documenting and categorizing security events.
- Perform basic analysis of security logs and system information.
- Support vulnerability identification and tracking activities.
- Assist with reviewing security configurations against established requirements.
- Work with Linux-based systems for assigned security tasks.
- Assist with maintaining security-related documentation and reports.
- Support basic network and system security assessments.
- Assist with tracking security findings and remediation status.
- Research cybersecurity concepts, threats, and defensive practices.
- Follow established information-security procedures and access controls.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling security-related information.
- Participate in security awareness and learning activities.
- Complete assigned cybersecurity tasks within agreed timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

- Pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with SIEM concepts or tools is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP is an advantage.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management concepts is an advantage.
- Knowledge of security frameworks or basic security controls is an advantage.
- Academic or personal cybersecurity projects are welcome.

Stipend: ₹16,500 per month
